PRODUCTION OF AN EXCEPTIONAL CASTING FOR CZECH PRECISION FORGE PILSEN
At the beginning of this year, we received an order to produce four steel castings. Among them was a true giant: a 46,500 kg casting that challenged our entire team of technologists, moulders, hardeners and steelworks staff. Such large castings are not an everyday occurrence, requiring the utmost concentration and precise preparation. For context, this is the same weight as four city buses fully loaded with passengers! 
We created a polystyrene foam pattern according to our experts’ detailed technological procedure. This pattern was then moulded into a compound bonded with alkyd binders.
Special thanks go to the moulding and steel shop masters and to all those who coordinated the casting of three pans at once and right after of a fourth. Thanks to their efforts the casting was successfully completed on 20 May 2025. 
The casting is now cooling and finishing work will start soon.
